Each break must be a minimum of 30 minutes each

Driving restrictions
14 Hours on duty restriction

Not allowed to drive after 14 hours on duty in a day

14 Days restriction

All drivers must take 24 consecutive hours off duty every 14 days

Work shift restriction
No driving after 16 hours of elapsed time following 2 off duty periods (8hr)

Work shift is the the elapsed time between two off-duty periods of at least eight consecutive hours

Cycles
Cycle 1: No driving after 70 on duty hours in 7 days

36 consecutive hours off to reset or switch from Cycle 1

Cycle 2: No driving after 120 on duty hours in 14 days

72 consecutive hours off to reset or switch from Cycle 2

Driver must take at least 24 consecutive hours off-duty prior to accumulating any period of 70 hours of on-duty

A thirty minute rest break is mandatory before reaching 8 hours of consecutive driving
